The Victory Box<\/em> is an installation that explores how surveillance, persuasion, and power become embedded in everyday life. Using the visual language of mid-century domestic culture while pointing toward contemporary technologies of monitoring, mediation, and generative machines, the work reflects on how systems of control are made to feel familiar, useful, and reassuring. The Victory Box asks what happens when trust is shaped through media, objects, and the promise of security.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite the omnipresence of these digital eyes, the subjects appear oblivious to their existence, engrossed in the rhythm of their lives.<\/span><\/p>\n

The collection provides a global perspective, featuring scenes from diverse public spaces across different countries and cultures, united by the shared experience of the pandemic.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The project delves into the invasive nature of surveillance technologies, specifically the recording of public and private chatroom communications, including images and transcripts, to construct a facial recognition database. Through a meticulous and thought-provoking process, the artist silently monitored public chatrooms, capturing the essence of online interactions, and then translated this data into a multisensory gallery experience.<\/span><\/p>\n
