The Unselected (screenprints)
2016
Silkscreen on paper, green ink, black paper, phosphorescent pigments.
“The Unselected” reimagines fleeting digital interactions as enduring physical artifacts. This series of silkscreened images captures individuals from public chatrooms, translating their online presence into a tangible medium. Using green ink on black paper with phosphorescent pigments, the works evoke an ominous, digital aesthetic. The hidden text and images, revealed under UV light, symbolize the illusion of privacy in online communication and the permanent records left behind. “The Unselected” invites viewers to question the boundaries between the ephemeral and the lasting in the digital age.
